Montiel is shredded

i really hope that montiel wins. im not at all a donaire fan.

Is it true Donaire lies about his background to try and be popular like Manny ?

Montiel is in great shape. Hope he has had good sparring, a good gameplan, and is mentally ready. War Montiel!!!!!!! He really better make sure if both guys throw the left hook, his gets there first. If not, my pick will be in some serious trouble.

i think that montiel has more desire to win and i think that that alone will win him the fight. i wont be surprised at all if donaire wins, but montiel has fought some tough competition in his day while donaire is going into a new territory where he is fighting a great boxer/puncher

Montiel does look shredded, but this fight is at 118lb so i wouldn't expect anything else in physique to be honest. this fight has all the ingredients of being a classic, i think Donaire is going to be too good though. i think Montiel will need to get Donaire to chase him if he wants to win, but i think Donaire is going to be superior in terms of ring generalship and it will be Montiel that has to find Nonito and i think in doing so he is going to walk onto one of those devestating left hooks. either way this is going to be a great fight

Can Montiel get past Donaire's jab?
When they both throw left hooks, will Montiel's get there quicker than Donaire's?

I'm torn as to the answer to those questions and for that reason my pick of Montiel is rather shaky.

Im seeing this come up a lot and I have never seen Nonito establish his jab, not even against Vic where he just countered him with a hook

Biggest question, is Donaire as good as everyone claims? His claim to fame was the KO victory over an undefeated Vic Darchinyan which got him such a high ranking, but Vic is not a threat at Bantom, the competition there is much tougher than any other weight class in boxing right now. Ive never seen Donaire agaisnt a real power puncher like Montiel. On Paper, this is as much as a toss up as it is. I said Donaire by KO on GOR, but I might change it. Im leaning to Montiel. I think Donaire will control the fight, oh and its going to be a war BTW, but I believe Montiel will catch him flush eventually and end it. I think montiel is the tougher guy and has the better chin. I just think Montiels power will overcome Donaires speed eventually.
