Seriously, someone help me understand this.

I won't waste too many words on the Mayweathers. I'm never one to give a dollars worth of effort to a 25 cent situation. However, in my years of following this sport, I've never seen a loud mouth talk without fighting afterwards.

Floyd Mayweather has flat out refused to fight Manny Pacquiao, however he still continues to bash his choice in opponents?! This is the most disgraceful, irrational act I've ever seen in the sport. Not of the most cowardly. THE most cowardly. He's saying everyone Pac fights is washed up, yet refuses to accept his challenge. What sense does it make for MW to critique Manny's opponents if he won't fight him? It's none of Floyd's business who he fights. Is Floyd an announcer or a fighter?

I watched Hugo Corro duck Marvin Hagler,nevertheless, he (Hugo) kept his mouth shut. He would've looked like an insane coward had he verbally bashed Hagler while ducking him. Floyd Patterson was terrified of Liston but fought him anyway. I've never seen a fighter duck and talk about the same guy. Ever. I don't think MW has the right to have his name mentioned again unless he fights Pacquiao. If Pac is fighting "The Pope", Floyd should shut up unless he fights Manny.

If I seem repititive here, it's because I grew up watching "Muhammad Ali." I can't imagine Ali talking about someone but refusing to fight them at the same time.

I will say this. Floyd has carved out a place in boxing history and has gone where no other fighter has gone before. I'll leave it to the reader to figure out that destination.

I don't think that Mayweather is ducking Manny Pacquiao. Floyd certainly doesn't believe he is ducking Manny Pacquaio. He believes Manny is holding up the situation. So he speaks candidly. Also, he knows that talking can keep his name relevant.

Someday, if they don't fight and either retires, I would love to have a Did Floyd duck Manny? thread. However, Floyd isn't fighting. Who cares about his opinion.

To a big degree you are right. But having fought Duran three times, Hearns twice, Benitez and Hagler? Pretty hard to complain about Ray.
