Solis better get to the gym immediately. He is alot shorter than Vitali and much fatter. Damn-from the sideview Solis has no jaw line. He and Arreola should both try out for major league eating.

COLOGNE, Germany — World heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko insisted Wednesday his next opponent Odlanier Solis is one of the best in the world, as he hit back at criticism he takes only easy fights,

"I have always said I want to face the best in the world, because it makes the fights more interesting," said Klitschko, who defends his WBC title against the unbeaten Cuban Solis in Cologne on March 19.

"I want to show that I am Number One in the world.

"This will not be a walk in the park, he is a good young boxer, but he misses the experience which is important in the world of boxing."

Klitschko, 39, has come in for criticism recently for the opponents he fights, especially after his unanimous points victory over Shannon Briggs of the United States in October, who was dominated by the Ukrainian.

Yeah, whatever. The only good opponent I will give Vitali credit for in his return was Peter. Not because he was good, but only because at the time he was the 2nd ranked HW.

Solis is a bum. He was a good AM boxer. But so what! As a pro, he's a fat fucking bum. Not the Klits fault. But don't pretend it's more than what it is.

Maybe if fat ass Solis beat atleast ONE TOP TEN RANKED HW, and showed up ATLEAST 20 POUNDS lighter, you could say otherwise

they see face to face or face to chest????? if some of these heavyweights actually come into a fight in fucking shape then at least they'd have the speed to overcome Klitschko's physical advantages. the problem being that there isn't a fucking heavyweight in shape today. well there is but he is awfully selective about who he wants to fight

it's because they haven't beaten a legitimate top US heavyweight. foreign fighters to the US never get credit on the same level as a US fighter.

Wlad: 2005-2010- ring ranked fighters he beat: Peter, Byrd, Brock, Brewster, Ibragimov, Thompson, Chagaev, and Chambers.

I believe all were ring ranked top 10 at time he fought them. That is 8 top 10 ring ranked guys (someone could check as I'm doing this off the top of my head).

Vitali: 2008-2010- Peter, Gomez, Arreola, and maybe Kevin Johnson (can't recall if he was at very bottom of top 10 when they fought).

Dimitrenko-lost to Chambers and his camp isn't looking for the fight yet.
Adamek- fight coming.
Valuev-lost to Mr. 13 (should have lost to Holyfield) and priced himself out of fight with Vitali. Boytsov-injured hand and lack of top competition (he needs to step it up).

How many beltholders throughout the sport have beaten as many top 10 ring ranked guys in their division (weak or not)? I would venture to say it isn't many. They may not be scintillating but they take on the best there is out there (most of the time).

It's just that I'm wondering who they haven't fought. Haye & Adamek just got there, Atlas won't let Povetkin fight, but the rest of the contenders have been defeated by a brother.
