Martinez-Lee at MSG March 12

This isn't a bad fight for Martinez. Lee got a solid Irish fanbase, be in New York, so it can get some good press, and it'll be on HBO.

Not a lot other options right now for Martinez. Bunch nobodies at middle.

There are alot of matches that could be made at 160 that would produce very solid challengers for the champ: Wood vs Geale, Sturm vs Pirog, Zbik vs Sylvester, Mora vs Wright etc, etc.

The problem is none of these guys are fighting each other! It's the same story as the heavyweights, they all just want to take safe fights until they get a big payday ...therefore no obvious top challengers are emerging.

Exactly. These guys are total nobodies. A fight with them wouldn't draw 500 people in the US. So is Sergi, The Champ, suppose to go to Germany and get robbed by Sturm? Fuck that.

Maybe, just maybe, if they stacked the undercard with the potential challengers facing off against each other, this could be a good card.

Better yet, have Pirag vs Zbik on HBO BAD on Tuesday night, and bill it as winner fights Martinez.

Better put John Duddy on the undercard because nobody knows who the fuck Andy Lee is. I assume this is at the theater at the Garden and not the main stage.

there are some pretty interested boxing fans who don't remember him as they haven't seen him fight but maybe once.

is cotto in the undercard???? i dont see a problem with maravilla fighting at the msg. his last fight was in atlantic city and didn't draw that many people but there was a buzz after that monster ko. many of the people that didnt go and were regretting it will def. go to this one.

They should put him in Argentina.
