I knew it was too good to be true, Pawel Wolak frontrunner to face Cotto on March 12th

As reported a few days ago, and now confirmed by additional sources, contender Pawel Wolak (28-1, 18KOs) is the frontrunner to face WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (35-2, 28KOs) of Puerto Rico on March 12. Wolak is leading the race among the four possible choices, which include Vanes Martirosyan, Rigoburto Alveraz and IBF junior middleweight king Cornelius Bundrage.

Cotto will make the first defense of the title he won by way of a ninth-round knockout victory over Yuri Foreman at New York's Yankee Stadium in June. Wolak fought on December 4 in California, stopping Jose Pinzon in seven.

Are you kidding me that fight is alot more intriguing and is a real challenge for Cotto, this Wolak is only famous because he was suppose to fight Chavez Jr this month.

Like Grant said, Vanes is terrible

He showed how legit is when he lost to Ouma and then bored us vs Joe Greene

He gets smoked, at least Wolak will make interesting while it lasts. Wolak is straight forward brawler and his 1 loss was to Ishe Smith on ShoBox

The Pole is a much much better match up for an East Coast fight

He's in Ring's and Dan's top ten, and I would easily rank him ahead of Spinks, Margarito, Smith.

Mora and Julio are no longer Jr Middle's.

Mora's now at Middleweight, he only come down for the money against Shane. Julio's moved back down to 147lb.

Margarito's done nothing at 154lb to be ranked ahead of Vanes. Spinks is done K9 ended his career, and Smith hasn't beaten anyone decent in years.

Margarito beat Garcia and a couple of other cans, lost to Manny, and close fights with Santos trump anything Vanes has done

Same for Spinks -- even with the KO loss has wins at 154 over Latimore, Karmazin, and a loss to Verno

Vanes has done NOTHING to even be considered top 10 in my book at 154

Then we'll just have to agree to disagree, I'd much rather see Cotto defend against Vanes who's an upcoming top ten Jr Middleweight prospect, than a nobody who was suppose to face Chavez Jr.
