Haye has already backed out of this fight at least twice, so most of us are skeptical, even if the fight gets signed there's no guarantee that Haye won't pull the same bullshit.

The Heavyweight division needs this fight to happen. Maybe Haye is fed up with the negative talk about his last fight?

I think it happens, GBP want its, HBO wants it, and obviously Wlad knows Haye wants it bad enough to cancel his fight on 12/11

The problem is both fights are viewed as main events, so neither would want to play second fiddle to the other, especially the HW champ who already dislikes HBO.

I don't think Haye vs Wlad will end up in Vegas, no point when they can easily sell out a venue in Germany.

Seems like we (the fans) are Charlie Brown and Wlad vs Haye is Lucy. She's gonna pull the ball away before we can kick it every time but we keep trying to kick it.

This writer carries about as much weight with me as Michael morley, or whatever his name is, does.

So now Khan is the light-welterweight world champion? I must have missed something. And why refer to Haye by his paper title, and then call Wlad "number one" heavyweight? It should read : the world's number one versus world's number three heavyweight, or The heavyweight champion vs the #2 contender.

there is no way this becomes an HBO double header unless it is on PPV.

James Slater is by far the worst writer on ESB, he's a bit of a homer who keeps giving shot fighters like Toney and Jones exposure.

But his credibility doesn't mean talks aren't taking place, Dan's already covered this.

it wont happen as long as Haye thinks he is the A side - nobody outside of England could care less if Haye retires in October. K2 will continue making huge paydays and cleaning out the division whether Haye has the sack to back his mouth or not.

The fight will happen if Wladimir really wants it to, it's time he compromised to make the fight everyone wants.

I am dead serious Canvas, Wladimir needs this fight to seal his legacy, if he allows it to slip through the cracks over UK PPV revenue he's a stubborn greedy man.

I say if Booth and the hype job don't come back to reality, then let the ducker hand pick another bum to fight in England and then retire. Hopefully then the rest of us would never have to hear from him again.

Wlad needs Haye? Wlad already has over a dozen HBO appearances, and a resume of dominance that will be remembered. Wlad could retire tommorow and he will have had an excellent career that will be remembered. Haye will be forgotten the moment he shuts his mouth and goes away.

logic of a Haye fan : the world champ and cash king who has already agreed to a ludicrous 50-50 split, needs to be more accommodating of the mouthy challenger.

Once Wladimir retires he'll be forgotten instantly by fans outside Germany, with Haye he's got the chance to face a young, hungry, athletically dangerous opponent. Wladimir needs this fight to happen next year to bring back some credibility to his reign.
