This Weekend's Schedule Empty This Weekend's Schedule

Post  captainanddew Fri Jun 29, 2012 6:34 pm

Tonight:

At Corona, Calif. (ESPN2/ESPN3): Ruslan Provodnikov vs. Jose Reynoso, 10 rounds, junior welterweights; Roberto Castaneda vs. Christopher Martin, 8 rounds, junior featherweights; Dashon Johnson vs. Angel Osuna, 6 rounds, welterweights; Evgeny Chuprakov vs. TBA, 4 rounds, junior lightweights; Aaron Acevedo vs. Daniel Martinez, 4 rounds, junior lightweights; Lizette Medel vs. Tatina Anderson, 4 rounds, female junior lightweights; Roberto Crespo vs. Oscar Godoy, 4 rounds, welterweights

Provodnikov isn't boring. should be a decent night of Teddy butchering names (since he won't be able to pronounce Provodnikov, Reynoso, or Castaneda).

Saturday Night
At Indio, Calif. (Showtime): Cornelius "K9" Bundrage vs. Cory Spinks, rematch, 12 rounds, for Bundrage's IBF junior middleweight title; Gary Russell Jr. vs. Christopher Perez, 10 rounds, featherweights; Erislandy Lara vs. Freddy Hernandez, 10 rounds, junior middleweights; Antonio Orozco vs. Albert Cruz Jr., 8 rounds, junior welterweights; Javier Barragan vs. Christian Lorenzo, 4 rounds, flyweights; Jesus Hernandez vs. TBA, 6 rounds, junior lightweights

Man: I might have to drink heavily. Spinks is boring. Russell is undoubtedly matched soft. No idea if they are going to show Lara's fight. I hope so.

At Caguas, Puerto Rico (Telefutura): Michael Perez vs. Eric Cruz, 10 rounds, lightweights; Jeffrey Fontanez vs. Pedro Hernandez, 4 rounds, junior welterweights; Eddie Gomez vs. Joseph De Los Santos, 8 rounds, middleweights; Emanuel Ramirez vs. Giovannie Rivera, 4 rounds, junior bantamweights; Emanuel Colon vs. Alberto Gonzalez, 4 rounds, lightweights; Edgar Lopez vs. Jesse Padilla, 6 rounds, junior lightweights; Samuel Figueroa vs. Orlando Falcon, 4 rounds, welterweights; Jonathan Vidal vs. Angel Cruz, 8 rounds, lightweights; Omar Cervantes vs. TBA, 4 rounds, lightweights; Miguel Tapia vs. TBA, 4 rounds, junior bantamweights; Kevin Nieves vs. Jonathan Cepeda, 4 rounds, junior welterweights; Patrick Scymanki vs. TBA, 4 rounds, welterweights

I don't get Telefutura. No idea if any of the guys listed are any good.

At Lodz, Poland: Roy Jones Jr. vs. Dawid Kostecki, 10 rounds, cruiserweights; Artur Szpilkaon vs. Jameel McCline, 10 rounds, heavyweights; Nate Campbell vs. Krzystof Szot, 8 rounds, welterweights

And finally, Roy Jones continues his crusade to die in the ring. Jameel McCline and Nate Campbell keep fighting past their expiration dates as well. this is the most depressing card listed in quite a while.

Spinks is boring and fucking SHOT. K9 better take him out in 4 rds or less to save us from a shit show. It would do us a favor and hype K9 up for the Canelo fight.

The Lara fight is going to be televised.

I hope K-9 takes out Spinks; but somehow I don't see it happening. FNF card should be entertaining at least.

good opening scrap on fnf. 4 rounder that was only on because racing finished early.

martin with 2 good body shot knockdowns. castaneda got up from both, but he didn't want to continue after the second one.

provodnikov in the main event next.

provodnikov put reynoso down in round 2. reynoso got up right at 10 so that he could be counted out.

provodnikov is a fun fringe guy. I don't think he ever will be more than that, but he is always punching.

Spinks was not there in the first fight. It was an annihilation. I think Spinks is shot so he will lose but it sounds like he is prepared for this fight. K9 by UD.

That Russian card really is depressing, faded boxers who continue to fight to pay the bills Sad

Just caught the 8th round. Its so sad to see. It looks like Roy and he still has some handspeed but he isn't even a shadow of himself anymore. Its like Superman wearing a Kryptonite robe or something. He just looks so tired and old. He should've saved the money.

Roy Jones wins by decision.

He's suppose to fight a strap holder at Cruiser next. I forget which one.

Without knowing the language, it sounded like a SD. I believe he is supposed to fight Diablo next. He will get hurt in that fight and I don't think highly of Wlodarczyk.

Yea thats who's next. The WBC Champ. I think any top 25 Cruiser beats Roy.
