Mir's boxing has improved big time but JDS is the best in the MMA world.

So why would he try and box with that guy? The beauty of MMA is that you have options as a fighter. If a guy can box better than you can and you can roll better than he can, etc etc.

Mir has awful wrestling and can't take JDS down. JDS controlled the fight and kept it upright.

definitely appeared to be a mismatch even to a newbie like me. Mir too slow and standing there eating right hands all night was not a strategy.
