i really wish that we could do something. the decisions are getting terrible. every time i think that a decision cant get any worse, it does. pretty soon the refs will be calling DQ's after a KO win if the decision cant go into the judges hands.

This year is on course to be one of the worst years in a while as far as bad decisions go.

The commissions need to step up their game and regularly test the judges.

Re: RANDOM THOUGHTS ON BOXING
I don't like government involvement, but the government is already involved. State governments who run the State Athletic Commissions. They have proven to be horribly corrupt. This of course varies from state to state. And that's the problem.
Holyfield can lose his licence in New York because he was deemed "unfit to fight" during his medicals, but Texas being Texas gives him a licence.
It's time that there is one giant Federal oversight board who's job is to regulate the State commissions.
As it stands, few States will do anything about corrupt officials. Because they themselves are corrupt and they do not want to shine a spotlight on it. So they pretend nothing bad happened, and seep it under the rug.
There needs to be a commission that forces these judges to not only explain themselves, but deal heft fines and suspension if proven to be a) corrupt b) Incompetant at their job.
