UFC on Fuel 1 Nets 217,000 Viewers; Spike TV Counters with 678,000
UFC on Fuel TV 1 earned an average of 217,000 viewers for its three-hour Wednesday night broadcast on the Fox-owned cable station.
Sherdog.com confirmed the viewership figure Friday morning with an industry source, who also revealed that Spike TV earned 694,000 and 661,000 average viewers during repeat broadcasts of “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 13 finale and “UFC Unleashed,” resulting in an overall average of approximately 678,000 observers.

And this was during a FUEL TV free-preview week. More proof that the UFC made a huge mistake moving from SPIKE. SPIKE made the UFC! They are considered the home of MMA. And watch as soon as Bellator moves to SPIKE, it'll draw compariable to better numbers than UFC on FX and FUEL.

Give it a rest Grant, You're just jealous of the fact the UFC is on network tv and boxing continues to implode.

Fuel and FX is not network TV. Both are drawing worst ratings then when they were on SPIKE. The ratings they've got on FOX is a joke.

I could be wrong but i dont see how UFC on FOX has extended the UFC brand. Cain getting KO'ed in a minute couldnt have been good. Even Dana was upset about that. And the Rashad one everyone was saying that the whole card was boring. I've seen more negative come out of UFC on Fox than positive.

SPIKE built itself on type of audience UFC caters to. And was beyond stupid to get away from the network that made you successful.
SPIKE showing re-runs of UFC events are drawing almost the same ratings as UFC on FX and higher than UFC on Fuel is proof of that.

Spike took the UFC as far as it could, they want to expand the promotion to different demographics and age groups, and the also want to move away from the PPV model, they made the perfect movewith the Fox deal.
It's been two months, give them time to get their name across all the different Fox platforms. And anyway 6 million viewers on Fox is nothing to whine about, the Fuel card also broke that channels record ratings.

Yeah, they got record ratings, all 200k people. That's lower than an FNF fight featuring two bums.
New demographics? Fox airs UFC on Saturday night. As mentioned in another thread, that is not primetime. Primary demographic at that time is old people. Why CSI rerun got higher ratings then a live UFC event.
FX is not their demographic either. All the hype Fox did for UFC's debut on FX and it draws lower ratings then Lights Out, which FX cancelled.
Watch as soon SPIKE gets Bellator it'll start pulling in ratings that will rival UFC on FX and Fuel.
