Strikeforce to stay on Showtime

I was proven wrong. I didn't think that Strikeforce would last, but it really does look like Zuffa is going to utilize Strikeforce as a "developmental" league and a way to broadcast women's fights. Dana didn't like Ken, and with Ken gone, this could be the reason the contract was renewed.

Surprising.

Not happy about this, I'd rather Zuffa would just merge Strikeforce into the UFC and have Showtime use that money for boxing.

That's definitly why Strikeforce is staying on Showtime. If Hershman was still there, he would not have renewed it. As you said, him and and Dana do not get along. The same reason why HBO did not get along with Dana. White wanted full controle of everything, from the announcers to the production, and both HBO and Showtime told him to go fuck himself.

When Hershman was at Showtime Dana left Lorenzo to handle Strikforce, as soon as Hershman left Dana got involved at the table.
