116.25, whoa. That is rather low. Did he have to cut alot of weight and screw up.

Chatter in the forums is that Donaire had to cut a couple lbs yesterday.

Ok so according to Donaire's camp it's a scales issues, on their scales he weighed 118 exactly but when he stepped onto the commissions it came up 116.

Robert said Nonito was 124 on Thursday.

124 the day before a weight inn..this nonsence has got to stop.fighting in weight classes by old standards that your 2 full divisions above and todays mickey mose divisions 4 weight classes below where you realy are.the weight inn before the fight a day before sells zero tickets.you can acomplished the same so called small PR stuff with same day weight inns.who started this fucking nonsence.donaire looks like he just got out of a consintration camp.

his camp should buy real scales then.or come up with a better excuse.

Nonito will move to 122 for 1 fight and then to 126 the following fight in all likelihood.

...your probably right captain but i wish they get ride of the 122 phoney division and let him fight at 126..i dont see any purpose to fight at 122 for one fight.there reason will be for a phoney belt for a extra phoney title..

I don't like the 1 fight stop in a division. I think he could "clear" out the division in 2 or 3 Top Rank promoted fights. Nishioka is supposed to be the bigger fight in the division but I would love to see him fight Rigondeaux. If he beats those 2 and Arce, he has gathered the belts and become the champ. If he doesn't want to do that, just go straight to 126 then.

I'm a Donaire fan, so i'm looking forward to seeing this fight tonight, the card starts @ 10:30 PM EST or about 3 hours from now.

ring i like donaire also.hes outgrown the bantam division by far and i hope this weight issue droping 6 or 8 pounds in a day doesnt hurt him.

I'm with you. I hate it as well. But he probably won't be able to make 122 more than 1 fight.

I enjoy watching Nonito fight as well. He has to get his career going in the right direction!!!

He beats Vic during Summer 2007 and has had only 8 fights in 4 years. That makes no sense and is a waste of his prime.

It looked like he was going to become a superstar after the Montiel fight but then more stupid decision making.

He really better get it all together, get active, and go out and beat the best guys he can find in each weight class convincingly. If not, he will have wasted a ton of talent.

Donaire looks like he made the weight in an unhealthy manner. Obviously, hes moving up after tonight.
