Mormeck wants to fight another scrub like him

As BoxingScene.com reported on Saturday, former cruiserweight king Jean Marc Mormeck (36-4, 22KOs) is under serious consideration to face IBF/IBO/WBO/WBA heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (56-3, 49KOs) on December 10th, possibly at the ESPRIT arena in Düsseldorf, Germany. Mormeck has been inactive since last December's decision win over Timur Ibragimov.

Mormeck has confirmed that there are ongoing negotiations to face Klitschko but he won't confirm whether or not the fight is going forward. Sources out of Germany are noting that a deal could be finalized between both sides within a week. They have reportedly reached an agreement on the terms.

Another fight offer is also on the table. Mormeck revealed that a deal has been placed on the table to face the WBA "regular" heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin.

"I can't announce anything right now. I do have a firm offer to fight Povetkin, but he is not my first choice," Mormeck said.

The Klitschkos are very lucky they fight in Germany in front of the most clueless boxing fans in the world.

Sturm even stated that German fans don't care that much for the boxing, they go for the specticle. Just set off a few fireworks and have an over the top ring entrance that'd make Liberace proud, and the Germans are happy.

sturm is totaly wrong on this and again the knock on the german fans and the k brothers is uncalled for.there are maybe a half dozen fighters in the world that have mega star power in actualy selling a lot of seats.the 2 brothers are part of that half dozen.a k brothers fight over there is like a mini super bowl.i have a few long time internet friends in germany that i met on a opera forum.both said 4 or 5 couples get together when theres a big fight and watch on tv after a diner party.everyone they feel watch them fight on tv.when chambers fought dimitrenko they asked what i knew about chambers.after the fight the couples said they liked chambers and how he handled himself.
like many countries they follow there fighters.they may not know who brandon rios is or miguel cotto but they do know boxing as far as there fighters are.the same can be said of mexicans in mexico.they may not know who huck is or ricky burns or the fans in argentina may not know of tarver or a kirkland that dont make them stupid.chavez and alvarez could pack a bull ring in mexico against a tomatoe can that dont mean the mexican fans are clueless..or dont understand boxing or understand what the fighters are doing in the ring.
germany mexico and the uk are hotbeds for boxing.thats a huge plus for the game.
the k brothers have been adopted by the german fans not only because of there fighting abilty but because of there intelligence.ring magazines top 11 HWS have 9 from the part of the world where the k brothers are extremly popular...they can fight in russia the ukraine poland and the uk and still sell out or draw big crowds..this did not happen by accident.they marketed themselves extremly well.they have mega star power and they deserve it and its not because of clueless fans.they excite the hardcore fan over there as well as the casual fan and the general public.good for them.luck has nothing to do with it.
