Don King holding up Pascal vs Cloud

According to sources with knowledge of the negotiations, a proposed fight between Jean Pascal, and IBF light heavyweight champion Tavoris Cloud, is being roadblocked because Cloud's promoter, Don King, is demanding options on Pascal. The former WBC light heavyweight champion is currently in Las Vegas and plans to sit ringside as WBA champion Beibut Shumenov defends his title against Danny Santiago at the South Point Hotel and Casino.

Pascal, who might return on December 17, would not confirm whether or not King was requesting future options, but he did indicate that negotiations to make the fight were difficult.

"I'll fight anyone. I don't care. But Cloud I think is with the wrong promoter. Everything is always difficult when dealing with Don King," Cloud said to BoxingScene.com.
