Green vs Tarver Result

After controlling much of the fight, Tarver pounces on Green late in the 9th. Green survives the round but the corner throws in the towel.

Tarver vs Huck ?

I don't know if it's good or bad, but I think Tarver got a shot at being a legit Cruiser Champion.

No doubt win over Green will put him in the rankings, likely taking Green's #6 spot. If he goes on and fights Huck, I think he can beat him. And I'd give him a decent chance at beating Cunningham.

I'm with you 100 percent. I also think that the sport has hit an all time low in quality talent for Tarver, who was never special to begin wtih, to still compete in any division at age 41. I think it's time to stop praising fighters for winning titles in their 40s and take a look at the pathetic talent pool.

He's actually 42 which is even worse.

I don't see it as bad, Tarver isn't that long in the tooth if you look at his career. He's not an embarrassment like Holyfield and Toney have become, he's just a wily experienced veteran.

He looked bad at HW but in the video at least he looked to be at a comfortable weight and pretty sharp. He could definitely be a factor in the division. Green was built for him though. Pressed forward right into those counters. Cintron v. Smith was mentioned as an FNF card and I could see that turn out the same way.

Yeah Tarver has no business at HW, that was just a pipe dream of his to land some paydays.
