UPDATE: Bum Slice making his boxing debut against 0-1 James Wade

Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson will try his hand at boxing in August, his promoter says.

Ferguson's boxing debut is scheduled for Aug. 13 in Miami, Okla., Gary Shaw Productions and Tony Holden Promotions announced Wednesday. No opponent was mentioned.

This is what Kimbo has nightmares about.

Even if he had some skills (which he doesn't) and wasn't too old (which he is) he has no stamina whatsoever.

Slice got dropped by a guy with pink hair jabbing backwards off his wrong foot. Why in the world would he think he has a shot in boxing?

His first fight is against a guy with only one career loss. Impressive.

I might go see this one.

I seen a guy box a kangaroo once, and another guy rassle a bear, but I ain't never seen no Kimbo win no boxin' match.

Kimbo gets alot of unfair hate, on TUF he actually came across as a pretty down to earth guy.

I've never had any issues with Kimbo the man, he seems like a decent guy just trying to support his family. It's Kimbo the image that I had issues with, it felt like a step back to the single digit UFC days.

Either way, best of luck to Kimbo, man who couldn't take a jab from a guy with pink hair (and a Ricardo Romero victim)
