You know that all fighters do is train and after many years that body is possible? Not everyone that has a good body is on steroids.

That is not the type of build you get from fight training. I do not know any trainer that would approve of bulking up to that extent. It ruins mobility, speed, and stamina. And why Carwin's stamina is a joke.

You get that build from body building, and yeah, riods. That's a WWE type build.

It's an on going debate on if fighters should even weight lift. The old timers forbid it. New trainers don't endorse it, but will allow it if it's less weight but higher reps to build lean muscle.

Well he lost 24 pounds for the JDS fight and it cost him big time.

Carwin was linked to steroids about a year ago.

LOL is it just me or is a lot of the big HW's in the UFC look like they are on roids?

They found a file on Carwin in an Alabama doctor's office that was raided for steroid distribution. That combined with the HGH forehead, he's certainly on roids. Ditto to Brock (I think its in the WWE contract to juice)

And as Grant mentioned, bulking up like that does nothing but gas you out. Watching footage of Cain Velasquez and Brock before their fight, Brock is lifting weights, doing the tire/hammer exercise while Velasquez focused on speed/conditioning/technique drills.

The two guys I train with that have fought in the UFC and Strikeforce both have a stocky "grapplers" build (Ricardo is 6'0 and fights at 205, Jay is about 5'4 and fights at 145) but aren't overloaded with muscle, my coach puts a huge emphasis on conditioning and technique. Ricardo is actually a freak of an athlete, he just needs to improve his stand up game.
