N.Y State Senate passes bill to legalize MMA

What idiots, throwing away HUGE $$$ that an NYC event would bring in. But it's ultimately more about unions and campaign contributions than MMA itself.

And yet another year passes and no MMA in NY state. It seems like the Assembly would have voted for it, but the Ways + Means chairman and Assembly speaker just don't want to put it up for vote. There still seems to be a ton of ignorance, judging by the comments some of these guys have made (describing the sport in the same terms used during the single digit UFC days).

Only way I see things changing is with new political hacks in NY state.
