the fights a disgrace..its not a fight that deserves any big payday for sure.williams as someone said perfectly on this forum went froim the most avoided fighter to a fighter that does the most avoiding..as far as martinez he said yesterday in a inteview he is fighting in oct..the doors open for martinez at showtime just like the doors open at hbo if arum wants to return.dibella badmothing doesnt mean no way there not interested in martinez.1.hbo pays more money and 2.martinez may have another fight under contract to hbo.thoses reasons ill say are far better then speculation about martinez is out from showtime because of dibella..the K brothers told hbo to shove it said they violated there word but there still welcome at hbo.i think hbos doing the haye-wlad fight.

Goossen is only his promoter by handshake, the man running the Williams show is Haymon. Im not mad about this fight fight for PW, he deserves a softy after Martinez demolished him but what pisses me off is Im damn sure HBO paid Paul around 800K for fighting this bum. This fight should be a low budget Showbox fight, not an HBO fight.

I wasn't nearly upset as the rest of you until I found out this was at a catchweight of 155. If this is at 154, Paul or Ishida in the unlikely event of an upset can become a legitimately ranked fighter by winning. I would think Paul got to dictate terms but 155 is ridiculous. Just lose one more pound

i used to like paul williams.now i hope he gets beat.he turned down 4 fights untill a fight like this was approved.talk about extra safe carefull matchmaking huh..yeah the guy pulled a upset over a very flawed weak chin fighter with a big name and rep but was also matched because the jap was viewed as a easy easy ko win.i feel there are other fans rooting for a wlliams defeat also...if this guy beats williams he will be marketed as the giant killer and trust me first in line for martinez...
