It would be great for boxing. You'll have a black Brit with a big mouth as Lineal Champion and he'll build an identical time of dislike with fans like Floyd did. A Haye win brings a lot of excitement to this HW division. it would be better if Adamek some how beat Vitali at the same time. Wlad as champion= to what we have right now.

I think it's good for boxing if it leads to more fights between the two. The Heavyweight division has been as dead as anything I've ever seen in or out of sports. There's nothing like a good rivalry to breathe some life back into it.

You've got a point. If that's the case, then it's not good for the sport. The only way it's good for boxing is if Haye decides to war it out with Wlad.

I will be utterly shocked if Haye retires IF he beats Wladimir, just think of all the offers that will roll in from HBO, Sky, Showtime, Epix and from venue's across Europe and America. He'd be mad to walk away from all of that at 31.

I would hate to see it happen. No offense Ali but I don't need Haye to act like more of a cunt than he already does and then retire to make movies and do whatever he wants.

It would definitely bring attention to the division, which isn't necessarily a good thing.

If you are from the UK and are excited by Haye, then it is great for the division. If you haven't been excited by Haye (most US fight fans) then it doesn't do much. HIs fights haven't done anything in the US to get us excited about heavyweights.
