Next for Mike Jones?
I thought he did exactly what he was supposed to do against Soto-Karass. He controlled the fight and outboxed him from bell to bell. He's still too light on his feet for me and doesn't commit to his punches enough, but he's a talented boxer. What's next for him?
I'd love to see him take on PW and really try to make a statement.

Re: Next for Mike Jones?
From what i understand Frank Warren is seriously going to pursue a fight between Mike Jones and Kell Brook. i think Jones and Brook are ranked No.1 and No.2 by the WBO at 147lb. Brook is having a difficult time getting opponents on this side of the pond, but Warren has the resources ($$$) to bring Jones over here for a decent payday. i think it's down to Arum though, if Arum doesn't want Jones to fight Brook then it won't happen, and by the sounds of it Arum wants Jones to fight Berto, or more to the point he wants Berto to grow a set of..... http://www.boxingscene.com/arum-counter-attacks-rips-andre-berto-vs-victor-ortiz--36175
Brook vs Jones would be a great fight IMO, but i think Brook's lack of star appeal will prevent that from happening. i can't see Jones travelling over here for such a tough fight when he is on the brink of a title shot in his home country. but he did give Soto-Karass his rematch which was pretty fair and reasonable. i think Jones punched himself out in the 2nd round of their original fight, he obviously learnt from that

Re: Next for Mike Jones?
Forget Kell Brooke, Jones is going to be lined up to fight for a championship already. Im pretty sure HBO will make Berto vs Jones, after Berto gets by Ortiz.

The only real thing I question about Jones is his stamina. He's reminding me a lot of Taylor

I think Cintron is a tough tough fight for Jones. It would be a huge step up. I also think Cintron would KO himgomez1012 wrote:I think so, Cintron's head is never right

Depends on what Cintron get's in the ring. If he's got his head screwed on straight, yeah, I could easily see him KOing Jones.

Re: Next for Mike Jones?
I have to think a Berto fight would be next. Or one of the Euro's in Europe? He's not a big enough name to carry a fight here, which is why maybe a European fighter would be next if Pacquiao decides to fight Berto.

He brings a good crowd to AC, saw a couple fights on TV where he did well there
