You think so, but after the knockdown vs Katsidis, he was in total control

He could be landing crisp body/head shots all night vs the aggressive Maidana

I really dont know who would win this, make it happen.

This fight is so risky for Marquez. Marquez is too small for any Jr WW. He doesnt have the size, speed or power to compete with Maidana. His craft will allow him to hang for a bit (Floyd could KO him), but Maidana would risk a lot to get Marquez out of there. Sorry but Marquez doesnt stand a chance with Maidana.

I think bad match-up for JMM too. He's getting too long in the tooth for this kind of fight. Maidiana hungry, and he'll want to knock out a name like JMM to boost him up. And it could very well happen.

I don't think JMM can really compete at the championship level at this age in any division above LW. Maidana by murder. Horrible idea for Marquez. We all hate trinket talk but at least go after one to become the first Mexican 4-weight titlist.

Marquez should stay at LW. His last fight he weighed in at 133.5.

Sadly he'll ended up getting retired by Jr Welterweights searching for that mythical fourth title

Horrible fight for Marquez, I love Marquez, but he doesn't possess the power it takes to keep a stalker like Maidana off of him. This fight would get ugly for Marquez I think!

But he could get Khan right now. Unless he thinks he can beat Maidana more convincingly and negotiate better terms.
