Leading into the ESPN Monday Night Football contest each week Boomer, Tom Jackson, Ditka, Chris Carter and Keyshawn Johnson have a segment called "C'mon MAN!" In this segment they show dumb, cavalier or otherwise inexplicable plays.

It made me think of such things in boxing.

Roberto Duran quits against Ray Leonard and then parties into the night after claiming stomach cramps...c'mon MAN!

Victor Galindez refuses to leave the locker room to face Mike Rossman unless the judges are changed and a live, nationally televised fight ins cancelled...c'mon MAN!

Marvin Hagler insists on fighting out nof an orthodox stance against Ray Leonard...c'mon MAN!

The Town of Shelby, Montana, population 7000, agrees to pay Jack Dempsey $300k for a fight with Tommy Gibbons. It bankrupts the town...c'mon MAN!

Floyd Patterson brings a disguise to the locker room before his fight with Sonny Liston so he can escape notice afterwords...c'mon MAN!
