i think that mayweather wins an easy UD. something like 10-2. i think like most fights, the first few rounds will seem competitive, but slowly mayweather will start being able to land at will. i believe that mayweather will even end up hurting alvarez who will get a little over anxious in the mid rounds. once that happens, mayweather will have him where he wants him and cruise to a decision. if canelo can win though, he gets a ton of respect from me.

im going for the "upset" and picking garcia to beat matthysse. while i do believe that LM has proven his power and that he is a force in the ring, i still say that garcia isnt somebody to be taken lightly. he will just give you trouble. my prediction is that LM rocks garcia early and even knocks him down. garcia will survive and end up landing a huge counter left hook on LM once he thinks he has garcia out. LM will get rocked then knocked down. he will get up and still be pretty dazed and once garcia starts throwing more punches, the fight will be stopped.

molina easily UDs smith.

Power, I think you read my mind on the MW fight. No reason for me to say anything. However, these are a few of my thoughts about tonight's big (depending on who you ask) fight.

(1) I'll repeat my feeling that the only way Alvarez has any chance is to watch "Hagler - Hearns" and do his best Marvelous Marvin imitation. Throw in a few elbows here and there and just keep punching. When Alvarez states that he's going to show people how to beat MW, that's a really bad sign. Any strategic effort against the master chess player that Mayweather is will fail miserably.

(2) If I'm wrong about my prediction (Easy Mayweather UD) you don't have to worry about me eating crow feet. I'll buy them myself and fry them as part of my celebration dinner.

(3) For the life of me, I still can't figure out why MW still won't fight Pacquiao. If Pac is finished, that's more of a reason to sign for this fight which would be the most lucrative pay day of MWs career. Is it just a little possible that he's still.... SCARED... of Manny???

(4) I don't know, but I strongly suspect Mayweather is juiced for this fight. For those of you who think I'm just pulling some bullshit out of my ass, read the letter from MW's lawyer denying that his fighter failed any steroid test. Problem is, MW was never publicly accused of failing a steroid test. The letter lightly suggested that he was privately accused of failing a test and that a contractual agreement blocked the results of this test from going public. Don't come down on me, I didn't write the letter. If you want a link, it's one click away. Remember, as I said before, looking for this info is easy. It's not like searching for the body of Jimmy Hoffa.

(5) Question; How many boring decisions will be disguised as super fights before the public finally wises up and stops ordering this shit. Even if I decide to stream the fight for free tonight, I'll most likely want a refund. This doesn't apply to the incredible undercard, however the main event will be the memory most of the fans will carry with them.

(6) Question: How many people on this board believe Mayweather would've challenged Winky Wright in his prime when he was Jr. Middleweight Champ? None? That's what I thought. Now that's a fight I would've watched with a big smile on my face.

(7) Does Mayweather know that he's a walking contradiction. This is a fact. When he utters the tired phrase, "Legacy doesn't pay the rent" he then picks and chooses opponents that are most suited for him to retire undefeated. Retiring undefeated is a legacy. I think he needs to rephrase the statement. "Getting my ass kicked neither pays the rent nor allows me to retire undefeated."

(8) Even though MW is not carrying himself as a champ in my opinion, I still admire his business
sense and his brilliant defensive skills. You will hear me complain about MW until he retires, but you will never hear me say he's anything less than one of the most brilliant defensive geniuses I've ever seen. On top of that, if he's ever forced out of his preferred fighting style, he has a habit of making the person wish they never made the mistake of making him fight. No, Mr. MW is not feather fisted, nor is he a coward. If you're somehow able to get him into a brawl, you will regret it for a very long time. (This observation is true...except when the name Manny Pacquiao is mentioned.)

(9) I think we can make predictions on this fight forever, however the reason I believe MW will win is speed. That's also the reason you'll never see Pac standing across the ring from him. Speed is what you need to beat MW. Any fight plan will fail without it. Power is mostly useless against MW, however Alvarez has a PUNCHERS CHANCE. Is that alone worth the price of admission? Not in my opinion, however that's just my call. I can certainly understand someone ordering this fight on a punchers chance.

(10) I hope anyone who orders this fight has the time of their life. I also hope Alvarez vs. MW turns out to be the fight of the year. This generation's "Thriller In Manila." Happy Fight Night.

Frank

everyone by a wide margin is picking Floyd.espn poll of writers and fighters have it 60 Floyd 7 alvarez 2 a draw..twitter has it 74-26 Floyd.another major poll has it 71 floyd 26 alvarez 3 draw.there saying a big upset if alvarez wins..why.average out the odds floyds a 2 and a half to one favorite.hardly a huge upset like braddock over baer or schmelling over Louis douglas over Tyson radhman over lewis etc etc.
a 4 to 8 point win or yes a late stoppage by Floyd is reasonable to think.floyd is beatable always was.alvarez needs to come in and jab from angles.throw at least 65 punches a round..stamina wise I doubt that he can do that for 8-9 10-12 rounds.hes not a great puncher as advertised.not a ggg or a graziano type of puncher.hes improved a lot over his last 3 fights but I have questions on his chin and stamina.floyd has a few weakness that a Armstrong a basilio would take advantage of big time..can alvarez .I don't know.
both have a high degree of confidence.alvarez is not in awe of Floyd nor does this big event faze him.again until proven otherwise ill pick Floyd against any 147 or 154 pound fighter.but lets remember that ring mag experts picked mares 19-0 against gonzalez.mares was blown out in one round.alvarezs chances are much better then the polls or experts picks.stanima is maybe his downfall.
on another note neither pac nor Floyd are afraid of each other.to think that is wrong.4 years ago I felt pac would win maybe by stoppage.the last 2 years I felt that Floyd would kick his ass big time.both have strong assets.both have had a career of highly successful matchmaking.neither belong in the top 40 of all time.period..politics between 2 promoters now rival networks plus a deep ongoing hatred between haymon arum Floyd schaffer and Oscar says that fight would of never been made.lets bury the thoughts of that fight happening..all of us should be tired of that talk by now.geez.
this is going to be the biggest money making fight ever as far as dollar intake.thats impressive..11-12 thousand just at a weight in..unreal.
on lm vs Garcia.garcia is a live dog but PP if lm strikes first as you say with a knockdown that hurts Garcia not a flash one its over.ill go with lm but im not enthused by that pick..Garcia could suprize.a hard close fight or a blowout either way.the result no matter what will not suprize me.

I've got Canelo by knockout, Matthysse by knockout and Molina by decision.
