Cotto asking for 10 million to fight Canelo???

he got 8 million for floyd and is coming off of 2 big losses. this is crazy, talk about pricing yourself out. maybe he just doesnt want to be a stepping stone for the kid? i would enjoy this fight it would definitely have some good action. doesnt mean a whole lot other than adding another name to canelos resume but he is only 22 thats what he should be doing. id prefer this to canelo floyd right now, i think they should wait until may for that one

Canelo will kill this guy. That's why he's pricing himself out. He doesn't have a chance against Canelo. It's like Frazier fighting Foreman.

cotto is small for the weight class. canelo will be too big for cottos style and his age setting in. cotto has never looked that impressive at 154 and if he is fighting somebody who has a good punch and is a good fighter than i cant see him winning. im sure he wont finish the 12 rounds. but for 10 million, he probably doesnt care too much.

10 million. wow. coming off of 2 losses. cotto will still add to the bottom line for such a fight, but 10 million seems a bit much (even if it were an opening number).

I'm sure he asked for 10 million or more before agreeing to the 8 million to fight Floyd. Just basic business negotiations.

essentially yes. but at the same time it may me too much to ask for. just split the PPV for both 50/50 seems reasonable. 10 mill guaranteed means canelo will have to take a substanially lower guarantee i would thinik. no need for guarantees, the fight will sell

This means Cotto doesn't want this fight. The only upside for Cotto would be a huge payday. Like Adrien Pennino once said, "You can't win!".
