Misleading title, they're fighting on the same card, but not against each other. They're both Al Haymon fighters, so its not expected for them to ever face each other. Berto is facing Soto-Karass who is a decent fighter, but he isn't anything special. He'll give Berto fits, make it an ugly fight, but Berto wins a UD and will look terrible doing so. Thurman is facing Diego Gabriel Chaves who hasn't fought outside of Argentina. He hasn't faced anyone with a hearth beat. He also compete in a lot of tournament in the amateurs and never won anything. Chaves isn't that good, so this is a safe fight for Thurman. The guy has an undefeated padded record and its probably the reason Showtime allowed to air this fight, but Thurman steam rolls (by KO) past this guy pretty easily. Gary Russell Jr will face a bum, like he always does and win a UD in the process. Hes going on to his 5th year as a pro and still hasn't faced anyone good. This guy has been on HBO and Showtime so many damn times already, but this is what happens when Al Haymon is managing fighters.

These will be sub-par fights, but this is the case for all Al Haymon cards.

i actually think that soto karass beats berto. berto hasnt been looking good recently. soto karass will pressure him and i dont think that berto will be able to keep him off.

could be one of the winners face off cards. berto is sinking like a stone and maybe haymon is ready to cash out on him against thurman. berto thurman would be a cool fight

I think he beats him too. Berto is just awful.

I think Berto will just eek past Soto-Karass. But if Lord Haymon wasn't protecting his guys so much, I think Thurman could KO Berto. Actually, as a guy who trains at a MMA gym, i'd love to see Berto make the switch (no way in hell he gives up boxing money, but I think he'd be great at it).

So we get to see Sam Watson and his jerk-off sons twice...great!

Wow. That is a misleading title. I just assumed the fight was made and I got excited for it without really reading the article.
