FLOYDS NEW MEGA DEAL.

yes im talking the 6 fight ppv deal over 30 months with showtime.mayweather and company said its a revenue sharing deal which floyd says if ppv fights meets expectations it will be the biggest deal in all of sports..i interpet that to be a good 300 plus million dollars.thats at least 50 million per fight.dam talk about a major deal.this also means i feel hbo can say goodbye to broner another haymon fighters that they invested heavy in and other potential golden boy fighters forever.
gotta hand it to floyd and his team for sure.what does hbo do to overcome the potential fallout is the question..

stop worrying about fighters and buy fights.

I just see this as a slap to HBOs face. Hopefully HBO increases their budget and so does Showtime. Shit I wouldn't be surprised if they have a bidding war for Pacquiao next.

So.......what happens when Floyd can't fulfill the contract. He hasn't been able to fight 6 times inside 30 months......ever.

thats what im thinking. 6 fights in 30 months is a lot for him these days. maybe some of those fights will be against nobodies.

but with that said, if he actually fights that many times against legit competition, that would be pretty awesome. and by legit i mean even people like alexander. as long as he doesnt fight someone outside of the top 10 ever. he is fighting guerrero next though.

He doesn't have to fight 6 times. He can fight 1 or 4 or 5 or 6 if he chooses. The contract (from what I gather) just states that if he fights in the next 30 months 6 or less times, those fights will be shown on Showtime.

hardcore that makes sence.i can see for sure 4 or 5 fights maybe even 6 in 30 months.looking ahead yes may 4 RG.alvarez in sept mexican independence day if alvarez wins.if floyd gets beat by alvarez then it will be may for the rematch tossing the schudle a little off..if floyd wins a fight super bowl weekend maybe even in ny city at the garden..
there is a list of solid fighters that floyd could fight and golden boy could sell and promote.LM maidana even alexander..LM and maidana fight nite will weigh the same or a pound or so more then floyd.if LM blasts out his next 2 or 3 opponents that fight will sell big maybe 2 million ppvs.
the only so called possible softy could be paulie for paulies last fight.
think about it.paulie commentating on floyds fights on showtime..he says he trying to put a fight for may.if that falls threw paulie said he will fight berto in june.if he wins that and coasts threw a fight or two it could be floyd.
any way you look at it is a major coup and a brillent move by floyd golden boy and company.golden boy fighters get big money to go against floyd.the fights will sell and everyones happy.floyds motivation is making that 300 million over the next 30 months.hes always in shape.
that motivation for money and the limelight closing out his career tells me dont count him out doing that.

there is still the big question remaining. can floyd stay on top of his game for the next 30 months or will he decline a lot? he is getting up there in age and speed is the first thing to go. he has already lost some speed but is a smart fighter so he is still great, but sometimes it just takes one fight and the fighter is done. i wonder if that will happen to floyd.

If it does he won't fight for thirty months.

Who in their right mind would make that deal? One fight in 30 months if he chooses?

Floyd is not fighting 6 times in 30 months. He's going to have to pay crazy taxes if he does. I think Rafael mentioned that Floyd could opt out of the contract after 1 fight. So it'll be interesting to see how the contract plays out.
