HBO card tonight: Guerrero vs Berto

Guerrero vs Berto on paper makes for an exciting match up. However, First fight of the night will be Keith Thurman vs Carlos Quintana. Quintana is slow and old. He's just suppose to be a stepping stone for Thurman, but a few years ago, he did present a challenge to Berto despite getting KO'd at the end of that fight. Hopefully he gives Thurman a challenge. Thurman and Berto are Al Haymon fighter.....

Isn't Thurman the kid that was on his way up & then got KO'd badly?

No that was probably someone else. Thurman is undefeated and most of his wins are by KO. hes a big puncher. He looks like he'll make some noise at Welter in the next year or two.

Geez.....Quintana looks awkward. This is the guy that beat PW?

Right, it was a knockdown, not a KO.

Man, Roy Jones Jr. is impressing me tonight. I have always liked his commentary, but his speaking is so much more clear tonight. Anyone else noticing this?

berto with a 6 pound weight advantage in the ring 158 vs 152.

How did Moret not see RG hold & hit Berto?

brto has problems with right eye and is going to be stopped.

berto got dropped twice already, berto thumbed, eye tore up. This is going to be over very soon.

RG is beating his ass.

3-0 RG, up 5 pts. RG grinding Berto down on the inside after hurting him in 1st 2 rounds.

Berto did land a couple of shots near end of round 3. Berto needs to throw some punches with bad intentions now. The eye, way behind, he needs to go offensive.

Guerrero is putting a lot of work to the body. It will pay off late in the fight. Another south paw drops Berto. Decet fight so far.

I thought Berto pulled out the 4th.

RG winning going away, but he needs to watch out for Berto's uppercut.

I had Guerrero winning the first 5. Berto took the 6th in my card. It's a good fight. Berto better by tire out or he'll be done.

Berto is doing better and better as the fight goes on. RG takes a heck of a shot. He doesn't want to eat too many more. RG wants to get control of the action again.

I have given Berto 2 rounds. There was a 3rd round that was competitive.


Berto hurt again in 7th. RG not letting him out of the corner.

Guerrero won the 7th. What a round. This is a brawl on the inside. Berto is keeping up. The rounds are close.

Berto took the last two round IMO. He's coming back and gaining momentum.

RG didn't look good in round 9. Eating heavy uppercuts.

ooooh RG said he can't see out of his right eye. Both guys look blind.

Berto needs a KO or a couple of KDs to win on my card.

Guererro is one tough sumbitch.

I'd love to see Guerrero vs. Broner at 140.

I would also love to see Victor Ortiz vs. Andre Berto rematch.
