If your life was on the line?

Post  freakzilla on Sat Oct 13, 2012 11:59 am

And you had to pick 1 guy to defend your life and after you picked the other person had to chose someone to fight your guy at the division of your guy. Who would you pick to defend you?

Prime Mike Tyson. We all know he wasn't the best HW in his division ever, but the recognition and intimidation he brings would surely scare the living crap out of everyone not named Lennox, Douglas or Evender lol

For a 12 or 15 round fight I think I'd pick Ali.

If it was for a fight to the death I might pick Margarito lol.

Alexander Karelin probably wouldn't even be able to take a punch. Fedor Emelianenko > Alexander Karelin.

This was about boxers in a boxing match anyway.

Current: Adrien Broner at 130. Until he actually moves up I have him as a 130lber.
All-time: Evander Holyfield at 205.

The question seems to be who has the widest gap compared to the next best person in a division.

Not really. Styles make fights also so you have to try and pick someone that overcome all styles.

That's how I read it too - 130 is crap so Broner is a good pick; odd as that sounds.

Really hard one for all time though. I'd probably take a prime Ali.

Karelin was a 280 pound beast who would win a street fight against most boxers. He wasn't human.

if he actually trained for MMA, i dont see him losing. the reasoning is that literally, once he grabs you, i dont think that any MMA fighter would have any sort of chance of getting away. and by grabbing i mean he only has to grab your arm.
