A word about live streams/feeds

Post  Guest on Tue Dec 14, 2010 5:42 pm

As most of you know live streams/feeds are not a perfect science, sometimes they can be close to HD in quality, and at other times the quality is really bad or hard to watch.

I post links/streams, because I don't like buying PPV's, and to help you guys out that don't get Fox, ESPN, HBO or Showtime et al.

I only ask one favor, don't expect or count on me to furnish you with a working stream, and don't wait until the last minute to start hunting live streams, i'll give you a start but it's up to you to find the streams from the list I provide, either that or provide your own.

I get a list of links for the streams/feeds from one main source: http://myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=99115&part=sports and occasionally from Justin.tv boxing. If you got a good link, post it for everyone, in the Let's Score it! threads that get posted most weeks.

cheers

Hahaha, I don't mind helping you guys find streams, just saying, I pretty much post the link to the same website, if you kats have other sources, post them too. Lately 'Veetle' seems to be providing the best feeds, and 'sopcast' has apparently all but died, it's been a while since i've found a feed on sopcast.

BTW, there should be some good streams for Pascal-Hopkins Saturday, Hop figures to turn this fight into a stinker, but maybe Jean Pascal will make it interesting.

don't know everyone's experience but getting good streams for Showtime or euro fights (UK, Germany) is not that hard to do. Finding a stream for an HBO fight is more of an endeavor and the streams for HBO get shutdown quickly

Appreciate the posts of the links anyway Ring - I'll try not to harass you if they're not working. Hope there are some decent ones for Saturday (if I can stay awake).

i'd sooner pay the money. depending on circumstances. we're quite lucky in the UK that we get all the superfights in Vegas for nothing and if it is PPV it only amounts to $23ish. when Carl Froch fought i paid my £15 because he's a guy that deserves my hard earned cash. David Haye on the other hand...

They usually hit us up for $50-$55 for big PPV's here in the states. It's not that I couldn't pay it, but I just hate to, since i'm already paying $120 a month for Cable TV. I can get most fights that aren't PPV on Cable TV, among other channels that show boxing, I get HBO & Showtime.

Some of guys here don't get many of the boxing channels on Cable TV, so I try to help 'um out with streams, this Saturday for example, i'll post links for Pascal-Hopkins on Showtime and:

At Berlin, Germany: Marco Huck vs. Denis Lebedev, 12 rounds, for Huck's WBO cruiserweight title; Yoan Pablo Hernandez vs. Ali Ismailov, 12 rounds, WBA cruiserweight eliminator; Alexander Povetkin vs. Nicolai Firtha, 10 rounds.

Looks like Povetkin has dropped down to Cruiserweight.

So I take it the apartment complex pays for the channels you do get?

Like I said in the OP, Internet streams can be hit or miss, sometimes you get a great feed and sometimes you get crap. I don't like being a "pirate", but I don't like paying for crappy PPVs either.
