I felt like Mares won the fight. It was close, but in the swing rounds, he was more aggressive, throwing more shots, and backing Vic up.

I was watching GSP put on a clinic so I missed it. I had hoped my fellow Aussie would pull it off but I guess not to be.

I'll try to in the next few days. Is there a place for Boxing videos?

Yes you really need to catch the replay, It was one of those FOTY candidates. Mares does from counter-puncher to stalker. Hes cut, gets knocked down, a point taken for low blows and still doesnt get discouraged (still went to the body all night). He won every round on my card from the 4th to 12th.

Mares likely got the nod from 2 of 3 of the judges, for being the aggressor most of the fight and throwing more punches. A case could be made for Vic winning the fight, even though Mares "outlanded" him, Darchinyan's punches were more effective and he seemed to be landing more of the power shots.

Anyway, I have no problem with them giving the nod to Mares, but Vic has nothing to be ashamed of, it was a good effort by him.

+1, Perez and Vic have nothing to be ashamed, they gave a lot of effort in the ring. Mares vs Agbeko will be great, but Vic-Perez might be the better fight.

I'd look forward to both these fights, but I have my doubts that Vic-Perez will happen, mainly because, what's in it for Darchinyan? I mean there's no title at stake and not much reward for him.

Mares-King Kong, would be a fucking brawl, i'd love seeing that fight.
